We offer Health Management Clinics for Asthma ,Cancer, Chronic Heart Disease, Chronic obstructive  Pulmonary Disease, Diabetes, Hypertension and Hyperthyroidism.

There are Child Health Development Clinics, Maternity Care, Immunizations, Ear Syringing.  Medical Examinations, blood Pressure Checks, family Planning Advice, IUCD Insertions, Cervical Smears, Weight Checks and Health Promotion Advice (including “Stop Smoking Clinics”)  Further Details of all clinics are available at the Reception desk.

 

Referrals

If it is necessary the Doctors will refer you for further treatment to specialised Consultants or colleagues who are Counsellors, Physiotherapist, District Nurses or Health Visitors.

 

Young People

We provide a confidential service for young people in sexual and other health issues.  This applies even if you are under 16 years old.  You can be sure that anything you discuss with any member of this Practice, doctor, nurse or receptionist will stay confidential.

 

Home Visits

If you are too ill to come to the Surgery, a home visit can be arranged. Please ring before 10.30 am for all routine visits.  All other requests for visits will be directed through to that day’s home visiting doctor who may choose to ring you first.  Whenever possible we ask you to come to the Surgery.

 

Telephone Consultations ( Triages )

If you need to speak to a doctor or nurse on the telephone, please phone the Surgery and the receptionist will arrange a convenient time for you or someone to telephone you.

 

Prescriptions

If you need a repeat prescription, post or hand your repeat prescription order form into Reception at least 2 working days before collection.  Don’t forget  to make allowances for weekends and Bank Holidays.  Please indicate clearly the items that you require and also whether the prescription is:

1. To be collected from the Surgery( preferably after 10.00am) or

2. Posted back to you (by enclosing a stamped addressed envelope or

3. Collected by a chemist (Give their name and address)

 

Test Results

If you are enquiring about the result of a test, please telephone after 2.00 pm.
